How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

We collect personal information about you from the following sources, depending on how you interact with the Services.

Information you provide directly

• As a resident: your ZIP code, name, phone number, address, email address, and photos of items you'd like picked up — submitted when you request a pickup.
• As a hauler: your business name, contact information, service area, capacity tags, profile photos/gallery, and pricing information — submitted when you claim or create a hauler profile.
• Communications: information you include when contacting our support team.
• Login: haulers sign in via a one-time passcode or magic link sent to their email; we do not store passwords.

Information we collect automatically

We automatically collect certain technical information about your visit — device and browser type, IP address, and pages viewed — using cookies and similar technologies.

Information we obtain from third parties

We may receive information from service providers who support our Services, such as our hosting provider (Netlify), our database and authentication provider (Supabase), and our email/SMS provider (Brevo).

How We Use Your Personal Information

• To operate the Services — to match residents with haulers, display hauler listings, and process pickup requests.
• To communicate with you — to send transactional emails and text messages related to your account or a pickup request (e.g., request confirmations, quotes, arrival notifications), and to respond to support inquiries.
• Security and fraud prevention.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

How We Disclose Personal Information

Resident contact information (name, phone number, address) is disclosed to a hauler only after you submit a pickup request to that hauler. We do not display resident contact information publicly.

We may otherwise disclose personal information:

• To service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., hosting, database, email/SMS delivery).
• To comply with legal obligations, such as a subpoena or court order.
• In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger or sale of assets.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

Text Messaging

If you opt in to receive SMS text messages from us (such as quote notifications, hauler arrival alerts, or a post-job review link), we use your phone number solely to send you those messages. Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. Your consent to receive text messages, and the phone number provided for that purpose, are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Websites and Links

Hauler profile pages may link to third-party sites (e.g., a hauler's own website or social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

Children's Data

The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the details below to request its deletion.

Security and Retention

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and comply with legal obligations. Photos submitted with a pickup request are retained for 90 days after the pickup is marked complete, after which they are automatically deleted, unless we need to keep them longer to resolve a dispute or comply with law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, or correct your personal information, or to opt out of certain communications. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link, and opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.
